About Wildland

Based in Northern British Columbia, Wildland Development is a construction management company that puts energy efficiency at the forefront of our design, construction, and renovation services – to create a livable future. 

We manage and facilitate the construction of net-zero energy ready residential homes and commercial buildings. Our goal is to foster sustainable communities and businesses across Canada.

Our Story

Wildland Development became its own entity under Sasuchan Group in April 2022. In May 2022, Wildland purchased Admiral Roofing Ltd., making it part of Wildland and the Sasuchan Group, and supporting our mission to create a livable future for communities in Northern British Columbia. 

Sasuchan Development Corporation is the economic arm of the Takla Nation, and its vision is to lead the way to a sustainable, diverse, and healthy economy for the Takla Nation. We accomplish this through our Sasuchan Group of Companies.

Cal Duncan-cropped

Cal Duncan

General Manager

Cal Duncan attended the College of New Caledonia and Camosun College and has professional associations with Technical Safety BC. He is a dual-ticketed tradesman with 40+ years of experience in the construction industry.

Cal spends his time on outdoor activities: sports, hunting, fishing, berry picking, golfing and skiing. He volunteers as an announcer for the Major Midget Cariboo Cougars. In his downtime, he enjoys time with his family.

John Steward

Project Manager

John is a project management professional with experience in telecommunications, energy and construction. John holds a Professional Project Management (PMP) designation, has a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management and is a Red Seal Carpenter.

John enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, traveling and is a history buff.

Planner

Patrik graduated from UNBC in 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Planning, where he majored in Northern and Rural Community Planning.

Patrik enjoys working on or planning the next garden or house project with his wife, gaming, or fishing with his son, walking his dog, or taking naps on the couch with his cat.

Jyotpreet (Preet) Kaur

NDIT Intern

Preet has achieved her post-baccalaureate diploma in Business Administration; a post graduate diploma in International Business and Operation; a Masters of Infrastructure Engineering and Management; Bachelor of Technology (Civil Engineering); diploma in Network Security and a certification in Leadership for Safety Excellence by British Columbia Construction Safety Alliance.

Preet enjoys reading, swimming, learning new software, and building sciences.

Estimator

Jack has over eight years of experience in the construction industry. He has certificates in Construction Operations, Construction Supervision, and Construction Estimating from BCIT. 

Jack recently moved from Vancouver to Prince George and he enjoys travelling and camping. He started learning golf and is excited to explore more outdoor activities in beautiful Prince George.
